What's included in the Plus Plan for education

There are two types of free Plus Plans for education:

  • The Education Plus Plan for individual students and teachers is a free Plus Plan for a one-member workspace. It’s available for students or teachers signed in with their education institution's email per the WHED.

  • Our student org offer is a free Plus Plan for a workspace with unlimited members. It’s available for verified student orgs who have submitted an application here →

Upgrade to the Plus Plan for education

Individual students and teachers

Individual students and teachers at accredited colleges and universities can upgrade to the Plus Plan for free at any time.

Before you upgrade, make sure of the following:

  • You’re signed in with your education institution email. If you’re using a personal email address with your Notion account, you can change it to your educational email address following the instructions here →

  • Your school is an accredited institution recognized by and listed in the World Higher Education Database here →

  • You’re on the Free Plan. If you’re currently paying for the Plus Plan, you can still take advantage of this offer. Downgrade to the Free Plan first by going to Settings in your sidebar → Billing → Change plan.

  • You only have one member in your account. The Plus Plan for individual students and educators can only contain one member. Remove any additional workspace owners and members before upgrading.

  • You're upgrading using Notion for desktop or Notion for web, not mobile.

Once you’ve met the above requirements, follow these steps in the desktop or web app to upgrade to the free Plus Plan:

  1. Go to Settings in your sidebar.

  2. Select Upgrade plan.

  3. Select Get free education plan. If your school is recognized by our system, you’ll be upgraded automatically!

  4. If you satisfy all requirements above for access to the plan but don't see Get free education plan, please write into [email protected] to request your school domain get access. If your institution is recognized by and listed in the WHED, your domain will be allowlisted and receive access.

Note: Unfortunately, you must have a valid educational email address to upgrade to the Plus Plan. We don’t accept student IDs or other documentation to verify a student or educator status at this time. Thank you for your understanding!

Student organizations

Before you apply, make sure of the following:

  • You're a student representing a student organization at an accredited institution recognized by and listed in the World Higher Education Database here →

  • You're a member of the student organization's workspace.

  • All members in your student organization’s workspace have the same domain as your valid educational email address.

  • Your organization is recognized by your institution.

If you want to upgrade to the Plus Plan for your student organization’s workspace, you can find more information and apply here. Only one application per organization will be approved.

Once you’ve applied, our team will reach out as soon as we can to let you know if you’ve been approved.

Work with a group or team

As a reminder:

  • Individual students and teachers can upgrade to the Plus Plan for free, and can work with up to 100 guests in their workspace.

  • Approved student organizations can upgrade to the Plus Plan for free, and can invite guests and members to their workspace for free.

You can also use our templates to build a foundation for your education workspace! To find our templates for students and teachers:

  1. Go to Templates in your sidebar.

  2. In the dropdown, select School. You can also use the search bar to look for a more specific template.

  3. Select a template to see what it looks like.

  4. When you’re ready to use the template in your own workspace, select Get template.

Er der nogen rabatter for studerende?

Education Plus-abonnementet til individuelle studerende er et gratis Plus-abonnement til et arbejdsområde med én bruger. Det er tilgængeligt for studerende, der er logget ind med deres uddannelsesinstitutions e-mailadresse i henhold til WHED. Tilbuddet er underlagt vilkår og betingelser.

Hvordan tilmelder jeg mig det gratis Undervisningsabonnement?

Du er berettiget til det gratis Plus-abonnement, hvis:

  1. Du er studerende eller underviser ved et godkendt college eller universitet.

  2. Du har en skole-e-mailadresse. Vi accepterer på nuværende tidspunkt ikke studiekort eller anden dokumentation som bevis.

Du er ikke berettiget, hvis:

  1. Du er elev eller underviser i folkeskolen eller på gymnasiet. Men du kan stadig benytte vores gratis abonnement med ubegrænset lagerplads helt gratis! Læs mere på vores prisside.

  2. Din Notion-konto er knyttet til en personlig e-mailadresse, f.eks. en gmail.com-adresse eller en anden e-mailadresse.

Berettigede brugere kan tilmelde sig abonnementet ved at følge disse trin:

  1. Gå til Indstillinger i sidemenuen.

  2. Vælg Opgrader abonnement.

  3. Vælg Få gratis undervisningsabonnement. Hvis din skole er registreret i vores system, bliver du automatisk opgraderet!

  4. Hvis du opfylder alle ovenstående krav for at få adgang til abonnementet, men ikke kan se Få gratis undervisningsabonnement, bedes du skrive til [email protected] for at anmode om adgang for din skoles domæne. Hvis din institution er godkendt af og opført i WHED, vil dit domæne blive godkendt og få adgang.

Hvad er Notions Studenterorganisationsabonnement?

Ja! Studenterorganisationer ved udvalgte, verificerede videregående uddannelsesinstitutioner over hele verden kan få adgang til vores Plus-abonnement og tilføje alle deres medlemmer, så de kan samarbejde helt gratis.

Med Plus-abonnementet kan studenterorganisationer uploade et ubegrænset antal blokke og filer, tilføje medlemmer til deres arbejdsområde, få 30 dages sidehistorik, tilføje op til 100 gæster og meget mere – helt gratis.

Bemærk: Denne rabat gælder kun for arbejdsområder til frivillige studenterorganisationer. Arbejdsområder, der ikke er forbeholdt studenterorganisationer, er ikke berettiget til rabatten.
