Teamspaces are a useful solution to complicated permissions needs. In many ways, they function like Slack channels which can be customized depending on your company's working style and needs.
When creating a new teamspace, you select a permission settings:
Open
means anyone can join.In general we recommend defaulting having
Open
teamspaces, with some exceptions.
Closed
means anyone can see the teamspace exists, but can only join with an invitation.Closed teams are useful when you need some control over who can view team content.
Private
means only teamspace members will be able to see that it exists.Private team spaces are helpful when a group is working on something sensitive that you need a degree or privacy or anonymity for.
