Using data: Database sync

Synced databases are a powerful tool that allow you to bring data from external tools like Jira, Github, and Google Calendar into Notion.

To add a synced database:

• Paste the database link into your page

• Select Paste as database and wait for the board to import — this process can take a couple of minutes.

Synced databases are read-only — but you can still add advanced properties like relations, and create new layouts, like we did earlier in this lesson.

• Try adding a relation property and relating the synced database to other relevant databases in Notion.
