Custom Agents can connect to Discord to read messages in channels you allow, and take actions like sending messages, replying in threads, reacting with emoji, and updating messages they previously sent.
Once connected your agent can:
Post messages in channels
Reply in threads
React to messages with emoji
Edit or update messages it previously posted
Browse channels and reference specific messages
Your Custom Agent can connect to only one Discord server at a time.
To connect Discord to a Custom Agent, the person setting it up must have:
Edit access (or higher) to the Custom Agent in Notion
Access to authorize the connection in the Discord server
Access to the specific Discord channels they want the agent to use
To connect Discord to your Custom Agent, follow these steps:
Open the Custom Agent you want to connect.
Open
Settings.Navigate to
Tools & access.Select
Add connection.Choose Discord.
Follow the prompts to connect your Discord server.
Choose which channels the Custom Agent can access, then save.
Once connected to Discord, your Custom Agent can only read or interact with the channels you have approved.
After you connect Discord, use the /ai command to ask your agent for help.
For example, you can ask the agent to:
Summarize a thread
Draft a reply
Post an update to a channel
React to a message

No. You control which channels it can access during setup, and it can only interact with those channels. Each Discord connection can only be linked to one Discord server at a time.

Not at this time. Each Discord connection supports one server (guild) per agent connection.

No. Agents can only edit messages they previously sent (bot-authored messages). They can’t edit messages posted by other people.
