Les espaces de travail Business et Enterprise passeront au nouveau système de crédits dès le 19 octobre 2026. Les espaces de travail existants seront concernés à partir du 2 novembre 2026.
Business and Enterprise plans give each workspace member a set amount of Notion AI credits each month. Additional usage via Notion credits is a separate, workspace-managed balance your admin can turn on so you can keep going once your Standard or Select credits run out.
Standard credits: Used for work where Notion picks the model for you. Each member gets 1,500 Standard credits a month.*
Select credits: Used for work where you pick the model yourself, or use a Custom Agent that isn’t funded by your workspace. Each member gets 500 Select credits a month.*
* Your included amount may vary depending on your plan and purchase arrangement. To check your allowance, go to Settings → Notion AI → Usage.
Auto is Notion’s model router.
It sends each task to the model that best balances quality, speed, and cost, so you don’t have to choose a model yourself.
Credits | What it’s for | Included monthly | If you run out |
|---|---|---|---|
Standard | Work where Notion picks the model (Auto) | 1,500 per member, no rollover | Your admin can let you continue with Notion credits |
Select | Work where you pick a model yourself, or use a Custom Agent you set up for your own use | 500 per member, no rollover | Your admin can let you continue with Notion credits |
Notion | Usage beyond Standard or Select credits, high credit consumption models, and Custom Agents funded by the workspace | N/A | Admins can purchase more or adjust how credits are allocated |
Standard and Select credits are separate. Using one doesn’t affect the other. You can’t combine them or transfer them between members. Each resets monthly, and unused credits don’t roll over. Notion lets you know when you’re close to using up your Standard or Select credits. Once you use up all Standard or Select credits, impacted work will pause until your credits reset.
If your admin allows it, you can continue with your workspace’s Notion credits, which can cover eligible usage beyond the Standard or Select credits included each month. Notion credits can also pay for high credit consumption models, and Custom Agents funded by the workspace.
For the full feature list, see Standard, Select, and Notion credits: eligible features →
Standard credits cover work where Notion picks the model, like:
Your Notion Agent on Auto (including chat)
AI Meeting Notes * (starting December 1, 2026)
Writing and translation
AI blocks, formulas, and inline editing
Select credits cover:
Picking a model yourself in Notion Agent instead of leaving it on Auto
Custom Agents you set up for your own use
Some work uses your workspace’s Notion credits instead of your Standard or Select credits:
High-credit-consumption models not included in your plan, such as Fable and Astra
Custom Agents funded by the workspace
Running an agent through the Notion API or a connected app
For most everyday work in Notion, Auto can help your credits go up to 10 times further than picking a top model yourself. This table compares estimated credit use for common tasks with Auto and Opus 5.5. Your actual use may vary.
Task type | Example tasks | Auto Est. credits per task | Opus 5.5 Est. credits per task |
|---|---|---|---|
Simple | - Polish an email | 5 | 50 |
Medium | - Track task progress | 10 | 85 |
Complex | - Manage hiring and job applications | 25 | 150 |
* AI meeting notes uses Auto and will begin consuming monthly Standard credit allowance on December 1, 2026. A one hour meeting is estimated to use ~10 Standard credits.
Credit use varies by scenario. For example, asking Notion Agent to polish an email in a long thread with complex info may use more credits. Even for tasks that typically use more credits, Auto produced results comparable to frontier models.
You can see how much of your Standard and Select credits you’ve used, how much is left, and when they reset by going to Settings → Notion AI → Usage.
Notion also alerts you in Notion Agent chat when your Standard or Select credits are running low or have run out, so you have time to adjust.
Standard and Select credits are separate. Using one doesn’t affect the other.
If you run out of Standard credits: Features that use Standard credits pause until your next monthly reset, unless your admin allows you to continue with Notion credits. Any Select credits you have left won’t cover Standard features.
If you run out of Select credits: Features that use Select credits pause until your next monthly reset, unless your admin allows you to continue with Notion credits. If you still have Standard credits, switch Notion Agent to Auto to keep using features covered by Standard.
If you run out of both: You can continue with Notion credits if your admin allows it and your workspace has credits available.
If you’ve used up your Standard or Select credits and want to keep going, you can ask a workspace admin for more right from the alert. Your admin will see a request to add Notion credits for the workspace so you and your team can keep AI features working.
By default, members who use up their Standard or Select credits have to wait for them to reset. Workspace owners and admins can let members keep going on Notion credits instead.
To turn this on:
In the sidebar, go to
Settings→Notion AI.Turn on Allow workspace to use Notion credits after AI limit is reached.
When this is on, members who use up their Standard or Select credits will see the option to keep going with Notion credits. When it’s off, they wait for them to reset. This setting covers both Standard and Select credits.
If a workspace owner or admin allows members to use Notion credits past their Standard or Select credits, they can track credit usage in the Notion credits dashboard by going to Settings → Access & billing → Notion credits. Each member’s usage appears as its own row so you can see who is spending credits and how much.
Credits spent on high credit consumption models show up in the same rows, so you can see who is using them and how much they cost.
We may update how you use Notion AI, including how Standard and Select credits work and the usage limits in place to keep Notion AI running smoothly and reliably for everyone.

Notion credits are a separate, workspace-managed balance your admin can turn on so you can keep going once your Standard or Select credits run out.
Standard and Select credits are separate per-member balances. These balances can't be pooled across the workspace, transferred between members, or exchanged for other credit types. They’re not "Notion Credits" as defined in the Notion AI and Notion Credit Terms and don’t count toward your Notion Credit Limit. The workspace-managed Notion credits described above are "Notion Credits" under those terms.

On Auto, Notion Agent uses your Standard credits. When you pick a model yourself, it uses your Select credits.
How do Custom Agents use credits?
How do Custom Agents use credits?
A Custom Agent you set up uses your Select credits, even when you share it with your team. Once your Select credits run out, it uses any extra credits your admin has given you. After that, it switches to your workspace's Notion credits automatically (if your admin allows it). An admin can fund the agent with Notion credits at any time. You can also ask your admin to do this.
