Use your ChatGPT plan with Notion Agent

If your workspace is on the Business or Enterprise plan and you have a ChatGPT Plus or Pro account, you can connect your ChatGPT account to Notion. Once connected, Notion Agent can use your ChatGPT plan instead of your Notion plan. You’ll use your ChatGPT plan only when you select a specific GPT model. The model picker shows which plan is in use before you send a message.

Each person connects their own ChatGPT account. Before you connect, check that:

• Your Notion workspace is on the Business or Enterprise plan.

• You're a member of the workspace (guests can't use this).

• You have a ChatGPT Plus or Pro account.

• Your ChatGPT account uses the same verified email address as your Notion account.

• You’re using Notion Agent. This feature doesn’t work with Custom Agents.

Connect your account in Settings or from the model picker.

Connect from Settings

1. Go to Settings → Notion AI → Usage.

2. Under Connected subscriptions, select Connect next to ChatGPT.

3. Sign in to ChatGPT and allow Notion to connect to your account.

4. Return to Notion.

Connect from the model picker

1. In Notion Agent, open the model picker.

2. Under Subscriptions, select Connect ChatGPT plan.

3. Sign in to ChatGPT and allow Notion to connect to your account.

4. Return to Notion.

After you connect your account, Notion Agent can use either your ChatGPT plan or your workspace’s Notion plan allowance. The model you choose determines which plan gets used.

• Select a specific GPT model: use your ChatGPT plan for the session.

• Select Auto or a non-GPT model: use your workspace’s Notion credits for the session.

The model picker shows which plan is in use before you send a message.

If you hit the limit of your ChatGPT plan, Notion Agent will ask you to switch to your workspace’s Notion credits to continue the session. When your ChatGPT usage becomes available again, Notion Agent will automatically switch back to your ChatGPT plan.

You can stop using your ChatGPT plan without disconnecting your account, or disconnect your account from Notion entirely.

1. Go to Settings → Notion AI → Usage.

2. Find ChatGPT under Connected subscriptions.

3. To stop using ChatGPT funding, turn off Use your ChatGPT plan. To remove your ChatGPT account from Notion, select Disconnect.

After you turn off ChatGPT funding or disconnect your account, your Notion Agent usage will run on your Notion plan again.
