Standard, Select & Notion credits: eligible features

Tässä ohjeasiakirjassa

Learn which Notion AI features use Standard credits, Select credits, and Notion credits.

When these changes start

New Business and Enterprise workspaces move to the new credit system explained in this article starting October 19, 2026. For existing workspaces, it takes effect on November 2, 2026.

Business and Enterprise plans include two kinds of AI credits for each member, plus a shared workspace balance your admin manages.

Standard and Select credits come with your seat. They aren’t cash or a cash balance.

  • Each member gets 1,500 Standard credits and 500 Select credits a month.*

  • Standard and Select credits are separate. You can’t combine them, trade one kind for another, or move them between members.

  • They each reset monthly and don’t roll over.

  • If you run out of one kind, features that use it pause until your next reset, unless your admin lets you keep going using Notion credits.

* Your included amount may vary depending on your plan and purchase arrangement. To check your allowance, go to Settings → Notion AI → Usage.

If your admin allows it, you can use your workspace’s Notion credits for eligible AI usage after your Standard or Select credits run out.

A checkmark means that credit type covers the feature.

* AI meeting notes uses Auto and will begin consuming monthly Standard credit allowance on December 1, 2026. A one hour meeting is estimated to use ~10 Standard credits.

Database Autofill does not currently reduce credit balance.

By default, a Custom Agent uses its owner’s Select credits, even when you share it with your team. An admin can instead fund an agent with a monthly budget of Notion credits, and can set budgets and spending controls for each agent. Learn more about how AI credits work for Custom Agents →

Everyday read and write actions through Notion MCP and the Notion API don’t use credits, though normal rate limits still apply.

As Notion AI evolves, we may update how your Standard and Select credits work, including the features and models impacted, the size of your included allotment, how consumption is calculated, and how they work alongside Notion credits. Features that don’t currently consume credits may do so in the future. We’ll update this page to reflect any changes.
