This Notion template helps you manage your finances using the Envelope Budgeting Technique—a proven method where you allocate a specific budget for each spending category, ensuring better control over your expenses.
How to Use the Template
1️⃣ Define Your Categories – List the expense categories you want to track, such as Housing, Food, and Transportation.
2️⃣ Set Your Monthly Budget – At the start of each month, open the Monthly Budget table and click "Add Budget".
As a suggestion, name each entry following the format "Category Month Year" (e.g., Transport January 2025).
Assign the corresponding category and define a budget limit.
3️⃣ Track Your Expenses – Every time you spend money, log it in the Expenses table.
Click "Add Expense", enter the amount, select the payment method (default is credit card, but you can adjust it in the settings), and link the expense to the corresponding budget (e.g., Transport January 2025).
✅ Stay on Track! Your Monthly Budget table will show how much you’ve already spent per category and how much is left, helping you stick to the Envelope Method and maintain financial discipline.
