This agent helps you understand messy information by turning it into clear, easy-to-digest explanations and summaries. If you give it a Slack thread, a pull request, a doc, or an email (as a link or pasted text), it will read everything first and build a simple “what is going on” picture: what happened, why it matters, what changed, what is still unclear, what decision is needed, and who is doing what next.

By default, it produces three outputs:

  1. Explain like I’m 5
Short sentences, simple words, and a tiny story or analogy if it helps.
  2. Sound like I know what I’m talking about
A professional summary with context, key points, risks and tradeoffs, a decision or recommendation, and next steps with owners (and deadlines if they are mentioned).
  3. TL;DR
One paragraph you can paste into Slack.

It also has special behaviors depending on what you give it:

  • Slack threads: separates facts from opinions, highlights disagreements and what would resolve them, lists decisions, and extracts action items.
  • PRs: explains what changed and why, flags risk areas (performance, security, edge cases), and suggests good review questions.
  • Docs: summarizes the purpose, pulls out definitions and assumptions, and extracts decisions and success criteria.
  • Emails: summarizes what the other person wants, identifies what you need to answer, and drafts a clear, confident reply.

If it does not have enough context, it asks 1 to 3 specific questions instead of guessing, and it keeps the output short, skimmable, and structured with headings and bullet points.
