What's included in the Plus Plan for education

There are two types of free Plus Plans for education:

  • The Education Plus Plan for individual students and teachers is a free Plus Plan for a one-member workspace. It’s available for students or teachers signed in with their education institution's email per the WHED.

  • Our student org offer is a free Plus Plan for a workspace with unlimited members. It’s available for verified student orgs who have submitted an application here →

Upgrade to the Plus Plan for education

Individual students and teachers

Individual students and teachers at accredited colleges and universities can upgrade to the Plus Plan for free at any time.

Before you upgrade, make sure of the following:

  • You’re signed in with your education institution email. If you’re using a personal email address with your Notion account, you can change it to your educational email address following the instructions here →

  • Your school is an accredited institution recognized by and listed in the World Higher Education Database here →

  • You’re on the Free Plan. If you’re currently paying for the Plus Plan, you can still take advantage of this offer. Downgrade to the Free Plan first by going to Settings in your sidebar → Billing → Change plan.

  • You only have one member in your account. The Plus Plan for individual students and educators can only contain one member. Remove any additional workspace owners and members before upgrading.

  • You're upgrading using Notion for desktop or Notion for web, not mobile.

Once you’ve met the above requirements, follow these steps in the desktop or web app to upgrade to the free Plus Plan:

  1. Go to Settings in your sidebar.

  2. Select Upgrade plan.

  3. Select Get free education plan. If your school is recognized by our system, you’ll be upgraded automatically!

  4. If you satisfy all requirements above for access to the plan but don't see Get free education plan, please write into [email protected] to request your school domain get access. If your institution is recognized by and listed in the WHED, your domain will be allowlisted and receive access.

Note: Unfortunately, you must have a valid educational email address to upgrade to the Plus Plan. We don’t accept student IDs or other documentation to verify a student or educator status at this time. Thank you for your understanding!

Student organizations

Before you apply, make sure of the following:

  • You're a student representing a student organization at an accredited institution recognized by and listed in the World Higher Education Database here →

  • You're a member of the student organization's workspace.

  • All members in your student organization’s workspace have the same domain as your valid educational email address.

  • Your organization is recognized by your institution.

If you want to upgrade to the Plus Plan for your student organization’s workspace, you can find more information and apply here. Only one application per organization will be approved.

Once you’ve applied, our team will reach out as soon as we can to let you know if you’ve been approved.

Work with a group or team

As a reminder:

  • Individual students and teachers can upgrade to the Plus Plan for free, and can work with up to 100 guests in their workspace.

  • Approved student organizations can upgrade to the Plus Plan for free, and can invite guests and members to their workspace for free.

  1. Go to Templates in your sidebar.

  2. In the dropdown, select School. You can also use the search bar to look for a more specific template.

  3. Select a template to see what it looks like.

  4. When you’re ready to use the template in your own workspace, select Get template.

Zijn er kortingen voor studenten?

Het Education Plus-abonnement voor individuele studenten is een gratis Plus-abonnement voor een workspace voor één lid. Het is beschikbaar voor studenten die zijn aangemeld met het e-mailadres van hun onderwijsinstelling volgens de WHED (World Higher Education Database). Op deze aanbieding zijn Algemene voorwaarden van toepassing.

Met het Plus-abonnement kunnen studenten hun plannen, taken en notities ordenen en profiteren van onbeperkte pagina's en blokken, bestandsuploads, een versiegeschiedenis van 30 dagen en nog meer functies om hun site aan te passen en te publiceren.

Meld je aan met je e-mailadres van je onderwijsinstelling, scrol op de factureringspagina in de app naar beneden en selecteer de optie om een gratis Studie-abonnement aan te vragen.

Hoe kan ik mij aanmelden voor het gratis Studie-abonnement?

Je komt in aanmerking voor het gratis Plus-abonnement als je aan de volgende voorwaarden voldoet:

  1. Je bent student of docent aan een geaccrediteerde hogeschool of universiteit.

  2. Je hebt een e-mailadres van je onderwijsinstelling. We accepteren momenteel geen studenten-ID's of andere documentatie ter verificatie.

Je komt niet in aanmerking als:

  1. Je leerling of docent op een basis- of middelbare school bent. Maar je kunt wel ons gratis abonnement met onbeperkte opslag gebruiken! Lees meer op onze prijzenpagina.

  2. Je Notion-account aan een persoonlijk e-mailadres is gekoppeld, zoals [email protected].

Gebruikers die in aanmerking komen, kunnen zich voor het abonnement aanmelden door de volgende stappen te nemen:

  1. Ga naar Instellingen in de zijbalk.

  2. Selecteer Abonnement upgraden.

  3. Selecteer Gratis Studie-abonnement aanvragen. Als je school door ons systeem wordt herkend, word je automatisch geüpgraded!

  4. Voldoe je aan alle bovenstaande vereisten voor het abonnement, maar wordt de optie Gratis Studie-abonnement aanvragen niet getoond? Stuur dan een bericht naar [email protected] en vraag om toegang voor je schooldomein. Als je instelling wordt erkend door en vermeld staat in de WHED, wordt dat domein op de witte lijst gezet voor toegang.

Wat houdt het Studentenorganisatie-abonnement van Notion in?

Studentenorganisaties bij bepaalde geverifieerde instellingen voor hoger onderwijs wereldwijd kunnen toegang krijgen tot ons Plus-abonnement en al hun leden toevoegen om volledig gratis samen te werken.

Met het Plus-abonnement kunnen studentenorganisaties onbeperkte blokken en bestanden uploaden, leden aan hun workspace toevoegen, een paginageschiedenis van 30 dagen krijgen, tot 100 gasten toevoegen en meer, allemaal kosteloos.

Meld jouw organisatie hier aan voor de gratis aanbieding.

Opmerking: Deze korting is alleen van toepassing op workspaces van door vrijwilligers geleide studentenorganisaties. Workspaces die niet zijn bestemd voor studentenorganisaties komen niet voor de korting in aanmerking.

Wat gebeurt er als ik afstudeer of mijn onderwijsinstelling verlaat?

Je kunt je gratis Education Plus-abonnement blijven gebruiken zolang je toegang hebt tot het e-mailadres van je onderwijsinstelling. We hopen dat je bij ons blijft 🤞
